Calories and Fast Food
If you are going to eat out tonight, you may want to think about what you are hungry for, before heading out the door. Often times when you are counting calories, the fast food you see in front of you is going to be made up of much higher counts of calories than what you should be eating. A shake could be four times the size you should be having, and it could contain five times the amount of calories your diet is allowing you to have.
Look for information about calories in the fast food restaurant where you will be eating. If you can't find this information in a brochure, on the wall, or on the package when the food comes to your table, you really don't know how many calories you are eating. If you don't know how many calories you are eating, you could be blowing your diet in a big way. Find out about the calories, the carbohydrates and the fats that you are eating. If your lifestyle is one that requires you to watch what you are eating and how many calories you are eating you can still eat out but you want to see what you are eating before putting it in your mouth.
Most all restaurants are under pressure by the government to keep the public informed about the calories they are eating and about how the food in their restaurant is being made. If you are not finding information about calories and fats, where you are eating, you need to find another restaurant to eat at or you could ask those who are cooking about what is in the foods. If you look at the foods on the menu, and you compare it to the information you are given about the foods you are eating, look at it carefully. Be sure that the cheese is included, or the sauces, or the condiments that are listed on the burger. Sometimes calories and the foods are listed separately but you have to add them all up to get the real information about the foods you are eating.
